By making a payment to Aliv World LTD (d/b/a – “Pet Friendly Journeys”) or participating in a  Pet Friendly Journeys Tour, you, the traveler, agree to these Travel Terms and Conditions set forth herein together with any additional documentation we give you and any additional terms and conditions of any Supplier that are applicable to your travel arrangement.  These Terms & Conditions describe what you are legally entitled to expect from us when you book your tour, in addition to important obligations you enter into as a Traveler that affect your legal rights.  Therefore, it is of vital importance that you read these Terms & Conditions in its entirety. The lead Traveler assumes the responsibility of sharing these Terms & Conditions with each traveler for whom they make a booking. In the case the booking is made by a Travel Advisor, the Advisor is responsible to provide all travelers with a copy of these Terms & Conditions. Aliv World LTD is not responsible for any traveler’s unawareness of the Terms and Conditions due to the failure of the lead traveler or Travel Advisor to share this information with all other travelers.  If you have any questions about these Terms & Conditions you should contact us before making any booking.

You may cancel without penalty within ten (10) days of booking if you do not agree with these Terms and Conditions.

Terms.
These Terms of Use shall remain in full force and effect for the entire time you use the Website and/or our services..

​Ownership and License.
The Website and the information, computer code, and related functionality appearing, featured or otherwise displayed on the Website are owned by Aliv World Ltd , its affiliates, and their respective licensors or other third parties and protected under the copyright, trademark, and other laws of the United States and other countries and international treaty provisions.  We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Website in accordance with these Terms of Use and the instructions provided by us on the Website.  The material provided on the Website including, without limitation, the information, computer code, and related functionality, are for your personal, private, and non-commercial use only.  Except as may be explicitly permitted by the Website, you may not copy, modify, upload, republish, distribute, display, post, license, create derivative works from, or transmit anything you obtain from the Website, including anything you download from the Website, unless you first obtain our written consent.  Any rights not expressly granted herein are reserved to Alive World Ltd and its affiliates.  You may not remove, obscure or otherwise deface any proprietary notices appearing on the Website, or any content or information.

Prices.
All prices are in US dollars and include VAT (Value Added Tax) in effect at time of issuance. All rates are subject to increase due to an increase of our costs, including but not limited to: land services, taxes, fuel cost, and currency fluctuations. All rates are confirmed at final payment. Fares and schedules are subject to change and are not guaranteed until ticketed.

Reservation and Payment.

Our team is ready to book your reservation.  Final payment is due as indicated on your itinerary.  You must make all payments on time and in accordance with the instructions that we provide you. If we do not receive any payment due in full and on time, we reserve the right to treat your booking as cancelled by you in which case the cancellation charges set out below will become payable.  We reserve the right to refuse a booking without giving any reason and shall, in that event only, return any deposit received.  Reservations are non-transferrable.

If otherwise stated on your booking confirmation, this Payment Policy applies

• We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card. Should you cancel your order and be entitled to a refund under these Terms (see below), please note all refunds will be charged a fee of 4%.​

• Administrative/Service fee to be paid on confirmation: a non refundable (but reusable credit) of $600 per person.

• Balance to be paid 45 days prior departure

• Credit card chargeback waiver: You agree to indemnify Aliv World Ltd from any credit card chargebacks related to any dispute over refunds and services provided.

Included in an Aliv World LTD Tour.

Prices are per person based on double and double single use occupancy and include: all accommodations; airport transfers, tours and excursions and land transportation as detailed in each Trip itinerary;

Not included in an Aliv World LTD Tour

Tour prices do not include your airfare and related taxes to the departure point and from the ending point of your Tour. 

Tour Director and Driver gratuities are not included and are voluntary for all land tours.

As a service, Aliv World LTD will make hotel reservations before or after your trip on a space available basis upon request.  These hotel charges will be added to your Tour cost.  Personal Expenses such as phone calls, room service, alcoholic and bar beverages, laundry and other optional incidental extras are not included.  This list is illustrative and not a complete list of every item not included.

Tour Traveler Conduct

By participating in a Aliv World LTD Tour, a Traveler agrees to be bound by all rules and guidelines established by Aliv World LTD, its representatives and your Aliv World LTD Director(s).

Aliv World LTD reserves the right to terminate your Tour if you are abusive of others, or your behavior disrupts the Tour or your physical condition negatively impacts the enjoyment of the other guests. Aliv World LTD will make no refund and will accept no liability for if you must leave the tour.  Aliv World LTD is not responsible for any costs incurred by you due to removal from a vacation.

When you book with us, you accept responsibility for any damage or loss caused by you. Full payment for any such damage or loss (reasonably estimated if not precisely known) must be paid direct at the time to the accommodation owner or manager or other supplier. You must indemnify us for the full amount of any claim (also including legal costs) made against us.

Tour Traveler Health & Safety.

You participate in the activities of the Tour at your own risk.  Climbing, hiking, extensive walking, touring in general, use of various transportation and recreational vehicles, and other physical activity may involve greater risk of injury or death than the activities which you may participate in during your daily life.  By taking part in such activities, you incur and assume all of the risks that such activities present.  As Aliv World LTD is not qualified to evaluate your fitness, you (or your doctor) must evaluate your fitness for any given tour or activity.  Aliv World LTD assumes no liability or responsibility for any Damages which may result from your participation in any activity during the Tour. 

You may be required to sign waivers on or before the departure date.  Failure to sign waivers may prevent you from participating in the Tour or from participating in specific Tour activities.

Instructions.

Vouchers and detailed itinerary will be emailed to you upon final payment or 30 days prior departure. The documents will have detailed information with meeting point and time for every service as well as contact information of the supplier providing the service. Proof of identification may be required in order to obtain entrance to museums, churches and other sites. Sites like The Vatican Museum and Sistine chapels and other churches reserve the right to deny entrance to any individual not adhering to their entrance rules and restrictions, including but not limited to conformance to its dress code.

Travel Document Requirements.

The Transportation Security Administration requires all passengers to provide their name, date of birth and gender when making all airline reservations. For international travel, US citizens require a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your return flight date. Non US citizens should contact their booking agent or appropriate consulate for information on all necessary documents. It is your sole responsibility to secure and/or pay for any and all visas, reciprocity fees, affidavits, immunizations, and any other requirements to be permitted entry into each destination. Your failure to have proper visas and/or passport will likely result in you not being able to leave a country or enter a destination and no refund will be available in any such case and Aliv World LTD will have no liability in such case. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, some destinations may have specific requirements including but not limited to proof of a negative COVID-19 test, a vaccination and health insurance.  It is your sole responsibility to understand the requirements specific to your travel destination(s).  In addition, Aliv World LTD reserves the right to require additional documentation in order to participate on a tour, in which case you will be informed of the requirements ahead of your trip. Failure to have proper visas and/or a passport, or other required documents, will likely result in you not being able to leave a country or enter a destination. No refund will be available and Aliv World LTD will accept no liability in such a case.

Luggage Policy.

Due to space limitations during your Aliv World LTD Tour, we ask that you please limit your checked luggage to one average-size suitcase per person. Besides complying with the Aliv World LTD restriction noted above, you should also be sure to research and comply with all airline baggage restrictions relating to your flights to and from your Aliv World LTD Trip. Researching and complying with airline luggage restrictions is your responsibility and Aliv World LTD cannot be held responsible for any costs, or disruptions to travel, caused by your failure to research and comply with airline policies.

Travelers needing special assistance.

Special Dietary Requests:  The restaurants, hotels, caterers and numerous other partners we work with all do their best to accommodate special dietary requests from you. However, given the diverse nature of those food providers, some of our partners are better able than others to accommodate such requests.  We therefore cannot guarantee that all dietary requests can be accommodated at every meal.  Also, please note that where dietary requests can be accommodated, choices will frequently be limited.

Mobility:  Aliv World LTD regrets that it cannot provide special assistance for walking, wheelchairs, motorized scooters, dining or other personal needs.  If you need such assistance, you must be accompanied by an able companion who will assist you. We regret that some itineraries cannot accommodate wheelchairs or motorized scooters.  Aliv World LTD may require you to produce a doctor’s certificate certifying you are fit partake in the Tour.  If Aliv World LTD is unable to reasonably accommodate your needs or believes that your health and safety could be compromised, Aliv World LTD reserves the right to refuse you a place on the Trip.

Photography and Video on Tour.

Occasionally, Aliv World LTD will use photographs and / or video taken on tour by fellow guests, your Aliv World LTD Director or professional photographers for use in print, internet and other promotional purposes.  If you prefer that your image not be used in any marketing activities, please notify your Aliv World LTD Director at the start of your Tour.

Itinerary Changes and Flexibility.

Aliv World LTD pledges to make every effort to operate all Trips as advertised. Travelers should be flexible as situations may arise that necessitate changes or exceptions to the itinerary. Aliv World LTD reserves the right to alter or curtail the itinerary and substitute hotels, sightseeing and/or conveyances as it is deemed necessary. Any savings realized by these changes will be refunded to guests. Any resultant expenses will be covered by Aliv World LTD.

Although every effort is made to handle your luggage carefully, we cannot be responsible for loss or damaged luggage and personal effects due to breakage, theft, or fair wear and tear through hotel, airline and ground transportation handling. It is important to have adequate insurance to cover these eventualities.

Cancellation and Refunds.

You have the right to cancel your reservation with Aliv World LTD at any time prior to departure of the tour. However, regardless of reason cancellations result in costly expenses, therefore a cancellation may result in a penalty fee that increase the closer the cancellation is to departure.

If otherwise stated on your booking confirmation, this Cancellation Policy applies:

• Up to 45 days prior departure – $600 Administrative/Service fee) + any possible non-refundable services if applicable will be used as a future credit.

• From 44 days to 20 days prior departure – 50% of the total amount + any possible non-refundable services if applicable

• No refund on cancellation received 19 days or less prior departure

• No refund on a no show

• No refund on any unused portion of the trip

• NOTE: all refunds will be charged a fee of 4%

• For trains tickets only: tickets cannot be changed or refunded after balance is paid

• For entrance tickets only: tickets cannot be changed or refunded after Administrative/Service fee is paid

COVID-19 Waiver.

Some locations may require you to have a vaccination or proof of a negative test. You must be aware of the restrictions and have all appropriate documentation for any stopover destinations. On return home, there may be additional requirements. You are responsible for understanding all of these requirements and must not rely on Aliv World LTD to provide information.

In addition, you should consult with government websites to ensure that you are in compliance with all requirements for admittance into that country as well as understanding local laws that govern travel within a country, such as tracking. You are also responsible for obtaining any testing and providing any paperwork as required by governmental bodies due to COVID-19.

By offering travel to any destination, we do not represent that travel in such destination is safe or without risk. Should you choose to travel to a country that has been issued a a travel warning or advisory, including COVID warnings, we will not be liable for damages or losses that result from travel to such destinations.

Exceptions for Covid-19 related Cancellations or Changes:

For all current and future bookings for travel through December 31, 2022, you may change or cancel up to 30 days prior to departure in the event of a COVID-19-related reason and receive a credit toward future travel.​

COVID-19-related reasons include:

• The U.S. Department of State issues a Level 4: Do Not Travel Global Health Advisory.

• The U.S. Department of State issues a Level 4: Do Not Travel due to COVID-19 for the destination(s) the guest is traveling to.

• Entry restrictions to the destination(s) the guest plans to travel to.

• International flights are cancelled without alternative routing available for guest to use to reach the destination(s) in the itinerary.

PLEASE NOTE: Aliv World Ltd acts only as a booking agent and is not responsible or liable for any loss, damage, death, injury, delay, inconvenience or irregularity caused by any vehicle defect or through the negligence, misconduct, strikes or other acts, defaults of omissions of any carrier.

Tour Cancellation.
Aliv World Ltd  reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any trip due to operating requirements, and is not responsible for any other travel arrangements affected due to the cancellations. In such case, the operators’ sole responsibility is to provide a refund without any other liability whatsoever. Aliv World Ltd is not responsible for cancellation penalties imposed by airlines or other transportation carriers.

Insurance.
Health, accident, luggage and trip cancellation interruption insurance is strongly recommended. Our insurance, if requested, is available through CSA - Generali.

Passport/Visa.
United States citizens are only required to hold a valid passport when traveling to Italy. Non-citizens may have other requirements, and if you are not a US citizen you should check with the embassy or consulate to find out what, if any, visa requirements you will need to comply with.

Aliv World Ltd Responsibility.
The responsibility of Aliv World Ltd as the tour operator and/or its agents is limited. We act solely as your agents in regard to travel, whether by aircraft, motor-coach, private car, rent car, or any other conveyance, and assume no liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason of defect through the acts of God, dangers incident to sea, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of governments or other authorities de jury or de facto, wars (whether declared or not), hostilities, civil disturbance, strikes, theft, pilferage, epidemic, quarantines, medical regulations or customs regulations, or from any causes beyond Aliv World control, or any loss damage resulting from improper passport, visas, or others documents. The issuance of the tickets and vouchers shall be deemed to consent to these Terms. The acceptance of tickets and vouchers by the participant or by assignee(s) shall be deemed to be acceptance by such person(s) of the above Terms and acknowledgment and agreement by such person(s) that participant air carriers shall not be liable for any portions of the tour other than air transportation.  The passenger’s ticket constitutes the sole contract between the purchaser and/or passenger of these tickets and the airline or transportation companies. Aliv World Ltd  assume no responsibility in this connection.

Supplier Agreements

Aliv World LTD does not own, manage, control, run or operate any transportation or recreational vehicle (including any motor coach, boat, helicopter and/or airplane), hotel, restaurant, or any other supplier of services connected with a Tour.  All tour services are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the supplier of such service and to the laws of the countries in which the services are supplied.

Force Majeure
We cannot accept liability, provide any refund, or pay any compensation where the performance or prompt performance of our contractual obligations is prevented or affected, or you otherwise suffer any loss, injury, death, inconvenience or damage as a result of circumstances amounting to “force majeure”. “Force majeure” means any event or circumstances which we or the supplier of the services in question could not foresee or avoid. Such events and circumstances may include, acts of God, actual or threatened, war, insurrection, riots, strikes, civil action, decisions by governments or governing authority, technical or maintenance problems with transport, changes of schedules or operational decisions of air carriers, terrorist activity or the threat thereof, industrial action, natural or nuclear activity, epidemic, pandemic, illness, physical injury, quarantine, medical or customs or immigration regulation, delay, or cancellation, adverse weather conditions, fire and all similar events outside our control.

Disclaimer of Warranties.
Aliv World Ltd makes no representations or warranties about the website, the suitability of the information contained on or received through the website, or any services or products received through the website.  All information and use of the website is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, including all express, implied, or statutory warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement.  We do not warrant that the contents or any information received through the website are accurate, reliable or correct; that the website will be available at any particular time or location; that any defects or errors will be corrected; or that the contents or any information received through the website are free of viruses or other destructive or harmful components.  Your use of the website is solely at your own risk.  You expressly agree that you have relied on no warranties, representations, or statements other than in this agreement.  Because some jurisdictions do not permit the exclusion of certain warranties, the exclusions may not apply to you but shall apply to the maximum extent permitted by the laws of your jurisdiction.

Limitation on Liability.
In no event shall we be liable to you or any third party for any damages, including without limitation indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, special or punitive damages arising from your use of the website or service, even if we have been advised in advance of the possibility of such damages.

Indemnification.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aliv World Ltd , its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, representatives, employees and other partners, from any loss, liability, claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your use of our services.

Disputes.
You agree that any dispute shall be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions, and you agree to personal jurisdiction and venue in the state and federal courts located in Lake County, Illinois.  You further agree that, regardless of any statute of limitations, you must notify Aliv World Ltd of any claim within 30 days of your completed travel or your claim will be barred as untimely.

Privacy Policy.
Your use of the Website is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available here.

Miscellaneous.
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Aliv World Ltd regarding use of the Website and any purchases you make thereon.  The failure of Aliv World Ltd  to enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Use shall not operate as a waiver of such right or provision.  Should any competent court determine that any provision of these Terms of Use are unenforceable as written, then said provision shall be deemed to have been rewritten in accordance with the law; if that is not possible, then that provision shall be deemed to have been stricken from the Terms of Use, and all other provisions remain in full force and effect.  If you do not agree to these Terms of Use, please stop using this Website immediately.
